Thanks again for stopping by.

I pass this farm every day, It reminds me of days gone bye. Many people have commented  that they know this place. It is always nice to hear about someone's emotional connection to one of my images.
it means I am doing my job right and inspires me. What a long winter 2011 was , pretty though.

Here are a couple summer time paintings , I am looking forward to the coming months
This is Big Brook, eventually this flows into the Hudson River in the Adirondacks

Rocky Mountain Light
This is a study of Rocky Mountain National Park , stop again as I will be posting other paintings from National Parks I have visited.  Enjoy!
Although this painting is only an 8x10 the detail is achieved by laying in strokes of paint and leaving them alone.
Most of the work is done with a 1/2" flat brush . Then softened with my fingers and an 1/8 round brush. I tried to create the sense of depth and height as we look down the valley towards the glacier pool.
